Spring is here, and Phoenix Fashion Week is in the mood to ‘Spring into Fashion’ with all the latest trends and colors of the new season. From black and white to cutouts and spring’s top colors like emerald, this year’s 4th annual MIM Rocks Fashion is a must-see for any local fashionista looking to glimpse the top spring trends in a high-energy fashion show, styled by top local stylists and featuring designer pieces to transition your wardrobe into spring.
Take a peek into the five fabulous designers and brands gracing the MIM Rocks Fashion runway this year:
Based out of Seattle, Washington, Bri Seeley is uniquely feminine fashion for the inspired woman. The styles are contemporary with intriguing details, and Made in America with the highest quality fabrics. Each piece is designed to enhance the female figure and allow the wearer’s inner beauty to shine. Bri’s clients rave about her ability to invoke a feeling of confidence through fashion. Bri Seeley’s Escape Collection was seen gracing the PHXFW 2012 runway, where Bri was named ‘Designer of the Year’ and will debut on Zappos.com this April! Styled by Brian Swan, returning to MIM Rocks Fashion for his third year, Bri’s show promises a trendy sophisticated look. “I am so excited to partner with a talented fashion stylist like Brian Swan! It will be fun for me to see my collection in a new light since I am the one that typically styles all of my shows!” Seeley said. For a little sneak peek into what you should expect to see on the runway for her show March 29th, Bri plans to bring an ethereal feel to her spring looks. “Expect ultra femininity, lush fabrics, and flowing beauty!”
As a fashion designer, Khanh has developed an audacious aesthetic of femininity, juxtaposing tradition and innovation. Bold lines, bold colors and bold geometric shapes make ENVY BY KHANH immediately recognizable. After debuting his impressive Emerging Designer collection at PHXFW 2012, Khanh plans to wow again with his fashion forward spring collection featuring trendy cutout details and colorblocking. “The Envy by Khanh spring collection of 2013 will help set the trend for the upcoming spring season starting with Arizona. With the help of Phoenix Fashion Week, we will continue to bridge designers and buyers together,” Khanh said. Styled by MIM Rocks Fashion veteran Fawn Cheng, the show is sure to bring a level of dramatic sophistication to your wardrobe this spring. “Long and elegant pieces will share the runway, along with the short, simple and bold.”
After being in the retail and fashion merchandising industry for over 25 years, owner Kim Kendall felt it was time to open a shop of her own. Located in the Ahwatukee Foothills area on Ray Road and the I-10, Clothes Minded is a boutique featuring hand selected, trendy pieces from recognizable brands like Ella Moss and BB Dakota, along with many local PHXFW brands like Shawl Dawls, Jhaus and more! “I am passionate about supporting the local designer which is why I carry many local designer brands in my store,” Kendall said. As a new boutique working to offer merchandise unique to their customers’ shopping habits, Clothes Minded sets itself apart in a sea of the same and hopes to create a sense of awareness through MIM Rocks Fashion. “Being tied in with Phoenix Fashion Week will give my store credibility with the fashion conscious ladies in Arizona, those are the ladies I want shopping in my store.” Styled by 3TV personality and personal stylist Rochelle York, Clothes Minded’s spring show will feature affordable, wearable trends, promising pops of color and fun twists.
This eclectic vintage shop is located inside the dashing Vintage by Misty boutique in the heart of Downtown Phoenix. Whether you are looking for vintage wear, business casual, T- shirts, or accessories, they have you covered! This boutique carries everything from mens vintage, to limited edition luxury, mens accessories, and even fun oddities from some of the world’s top designers. Originally from Tehran, Iran, owner Amir Saebi got a taste for European fashion at a young age. It’s Amir’s first year with MIM Rocks Fashion and he plans to bring his youthful energy to the runway in a big way! “Fashion will always play a big role my life and at this moment I am fortunate to have the opportunity to share my fashion with others!” Naturally drawing inspiration from the 1950’s-60’s, fashion forward Amir will style his own unique vintage menswear line, showcasing the best mens spring trends. “Attendees can expect to see a timeless fashion mix with some unique edge, envision Frank Sinatra mixed with a little bit of Hendrix!”
Divaz Boutique and Grand Central Clothing represent the stylish and modern woman. They strive to set fashion trends by incorporating designers and brands from the Phoenix market, as well as Vegas, LA, Dallas and New York. They strive to be beautiful, edgy and sexy, while still keeping it classy. Divaz Boutique and Grand Central Clothing also strive to keep prices in a range that excite customers of all ages and incomes. They focus on supplying designer staples with moderately priced mix and match pieces to create the ultimate “Grand Diva” look. “This experience will benefit us by exposing our brand to hundreds of people who haven’t yet shopped our boutiques. We are excited to tell our fashion story and hopefully gain new customers that support and believe in our vision,” said owner Andrea Reiss.
