Brian Swan to Style MS Awareness Fashion Show

Arizona is increasing its fashion presence every day, with exciting events featuring fashion shows, networking and local talent. Charitable organizations also have many events throughout the summer, raising money for their various causes. What better way to spend a night than to see these forces combine and host charitable fashion events throughout the valley. The MS Awareness Fashion Show came across Phoenix Fashion Week’s radar, and we can’t wait to see what it has in store for us this weekend.

This event, produced by Lifting Spirits Organization, is meant to push fashion forward, as well as create awareness for multiple sclerosis. This new organization, as its name implies, “helps people gain awareness by funding cutting-edge events along with research, driving change through advocacy, facilitating professional education, and providing programs and services that help people gain this awareness.” Founder Brent Gates is passionate about the cause and believes this event will bring awareness to the disease in a creative way. “This event came about with the mindset to spread the awareness of a disease not addressed as much throughout the community, and what better way to spread the awareness than to create an event that individuals love to

attend,” Gates said.  Supporters include Corresponds2Her-PR and local stylist Brian Swan’s image consulting company, Right Hand Man (RHM). Swan has made a name for himself in the valley, as he recently styled Fashion Rocks MIM, as well as the Designer District Fashion Show at Cityscape and looks forward to styling this fashion show with an exciting and refreshing vision. “Lifting Spirits reached out to us, and we felt it to be extremely important to raise awareness for MS in our community and be able to give back in our own way. Many people are affected by the disease and we want to use fashion as a way to fight it,” Swan said. Sponsors for the event include Beauty Express, Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa, and of course, Phoenix Fashion Week.

This event will include a red carpet, fashion show featuring Phoenix Fashion Week designers Diary of Joli and Black Russian Label, as well as fashions by Class Villian and Dominique Vinae. A cocktail reception with fine wines and appetizers provided by Tandoori Times Indian Bistro will immediately follow. There will also be a silent auction and exciting giveaways for guests! Proceeds will benefit the National MS Society Arizona Chapter. To learn more about MS, visit: http://www.nationalmssociety.org/chapters/aza/index.aspx
