Love is in the Air

Article by Thuy An Bui

There is always a feminine, softer side to every woman. In other words… an inner girly girl. Each year, Valentine’s Day sneaks up on most women who have the same thought in mind, “What am I going to wear?” or most likely “What am I going to wear to entice him?” This Valentine’s Day, why not make your outfit a little more amorous and alluringly sexy? Channel that inner girly girl with romantic colors, flirty satin and lace dresses, bold accessories, and luscious heels to make this romantic holiday extraordinary.

The best way to start is with the classic colors of love: pink and red. Pink is the color of all things lady-like, and many people tend to think it is hard to pull off. However, with this holiday, pink is anything but impossible. Think pink. If pink isn’t quite right, try other hues, such as coral. For a soft romantic look, try pairing a dusty pink dress with nude or matching pumps and add floral accessories, as shown below.

Red on the other hand is a fierce and sassy color. There is nothing sexier than a confident woman in red. Make a bold statement by pairing a red dress with blacktights and stilettos, matching black clutch and rouge lips. Throw in some gold earrings or rings to make the outfit dazzle more. It is better to keep accessories to a minimal though. You want to avoid cluttering your outfit with this bright color.

Go as crazy as you like with different shades of pink and red! Try to find ones that work best with your skin tone to bring out that feminine glow!

Besides these two daring colors, there is also satin or lace to complement your outfit. Satin and lace are flattering fabrics made for all body types. They can enhance your look by adding an elegant and sophisticated flare. For a flirty mature look, wear either a loose satin or lace blouse tucked in with a fitted, above the knee skirt. You will be able to show off those curves and extend the length your legs, without looking too risqué. To top it off, add some finishing touches with neutral, earth-toned heels.

Valentine’s Day is a special day made for lovers, and women want to look their absolute best. Doll yourself up with pink and red, wear satin or lace, finish with a few dabs of your favorite perfume and you are ready for a night of romance and fun.
