PHXFW’s Fashionably Pink Night Welcomes She Colors My Day

On Thursday, October 7, PHXFW will kick off its 6th Annual event at the W Scottsdale with Fashionably Pink Night. Fashionably Pink is devoted to PHXFW’s partnership with Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

In an effort to raise donations and awareness, PHXFW also welcomes, She Colors My Day to Fashionably Pink as one of our VIP swag bag product providers.

She Colors My Day partners two very strong and powerful organizations: Susan G. Komen for the Cure and Entertainment Industry Foundation Women’s Cancer Research Fund.

SCMD was started by Cristina Carlino when her good friend, Annette lost her battle with breast cancer in 2007. Annette left her four daughters and husband a musical gift, an anniversary album.  The album inspired SCMD’s song, “She Colors My Day,” performed by Grammy Award winner, Amy Grant.

“We are building a community of people who are using creativity to inspire and provide hope” Kelly Siegal, Director of Account Services at Martz Agency, said.

The now national movement is on a global journey to reach people of all backgrounds. With the help of Susan G. Komen and EIF, SCMD had helped fund one of the most ambitious scientific research projects, the Breast Cancer Biomarker Discovery Project. The project is lead by world-class scientists in a search to find a blood test to diagnose breast cancer and other women’s cancers in its earliest stages—when it is most curable.

SCMD has started a Facebook application that allows users to share, communicate and color pink into their friends’ days. Celebrities, like Amy Grant, Tory Burch, Paula Adbul and Jessica Simpson, have utilized SCMD’s social media presence to spread the word.

You can get one of SCMD’s limited edition t-shirts as a VIP ticket holder on Thursday, or you can find the t-shirts on SCMD’s Facebook and Twiter for a donation of $30 or more. To learn more about SCMD and Annette, visit their website.
