Fashion with an Extra Something Special on Top

Jodi Buckles

Posh a la Mode designer, Jodi Buckles, got the entrepreneurship bug at the age of 12 when she began making customized scrunchies called, Scrunchies by Jodi.

While attending a headband-making party over Christmas 2008, she had a strong desire to create affordable and high quality hair accessories.

Her passion for hair accessories inspired the launch of Posh a la Mode Accoutrements in January 2009.

“Posh,” meaning fashionable, and “a la mode,” meaning with ice cream on top, describes her accessories exactly: Fashion with an extra something special on top.

Buckles uses “posh” materials such as eclectic trims, vintage jewelry, retro buttons, antique ribbons and lacey, metal coil, to her designs.

“I want my fans to wear their Posh with pride, knowing that each piece is thoughtfully designed to be unique and to have a personality of its own.”

This year for Phoenix Fashion Week, Posh a la Mode will be collaborating with several designers to bring some “a la mode” to their outfits. You will see both Posh’s signature and new designs on the runway.

Buckles hopes to see Posh continue gaining momentum and recognition in boutiques throughout the Valley and, ultimately, expand nationally.

“Creativity is at the heart of what I do,” Buckles said, “I feel like the sky is the limit when a person gets to do what they love.”

You will be able to meet Jodi Buckles and experience her collection on the runway during Phoenix Fashion Week, October 7 – 9, 2010 at the W Scottsdale.

Shop Posh a la Mode at 12 retail locations in town. Retailers include Dolce Salon & Spa, Moody Blues, Poor Little Rich Girl, Local Talent AZ, Moonbeams, Girly Girlz, and Baby Bloomers.  Don’t miss any exciting Posh events by Liking Posh a la Mode on Facebook!
